Position:
Costume Foam Fabricator

Overview:
The Costume Foam Fabricator is a key member of the costume studio focusing on the production, integration and finishing of costume Foam components. The costume Foam Fabricator is expected to be a well-rounded generalist and will be expected to train in and assist in all aspects of the department.

Reporting Structure:
The employees and contractors of the Costume Studio will report directly to the Shop Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
• Construct and integrate foam and finishing elements, and pieces.
• Achieve deadlines by working in both team and individual settings with supervisor’s guidance.
• Maintain company standards and Quality Control throughout the Studio
• Proper documentation of all aspects of the build process. Ensuring all steps of the process are photographed and catalogued.
• Train in departmental techniques relating to fabrication, finishing, patterning, and integration.
• Maintains a safe, healthy, and clean work /shop environment.
• Basic pattern modifications, high accuracy in cutting and carving of foam and materials.
• Work with and around chemicals such as contact cement, epoxies, super glue, fabric dyes etc.
• Adhere to company safety regulations, maintains a safe, healthy, and clean work /shop environment.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet hard deadlines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in Costume foam fabrication techniques.
• Hand sewing experience.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability based on production requirements.
• High attention to detail and quality control
• Effective in time management
• High technical skills with foam cutting and construction.
• High manual dexterity and hand eye coordination
• Strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal

Costume Foam Patterner - Immediate openings for fulltime, part time and contracted positions in Tampa Florida.

Position:
Costume Foam Patterner

Overview:
The Costume Foam Patterner is a key member of the costume studio focusing on the patterning, prototyping, integration and finishing of costume foam components. The costume Foam Patterner is expected to be an expert in their field with leadership qualities to support the studio staff.

Reporting Structure:
The employees and contractors of the Costume Studio will report directly to the Costume Studio Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
• Foam Patterning and carving.
• High accuracy in cutting and carving of foam and materials.
• Detailed knowledge of build materials commonly used in the industry.
• Support the fabrication team with construction and integration.
• Achieve deadlines by working in both team and individual settings while supervising the costume foam fabricators.
• Maintain Full Stop Costume standards and Quality Control throughout the Studio
• Proper documentation of all aspects of the build process. Ensuring all steps of the process are photographed and catalogued.
• Train costume foam fabricators in techniques relating to fabrication, finishing, patterning, and integration.
• Adhere to company safety regulations, maintains a safe, healthy, and clean work /shop environment.
• Work with and around chemicals such as contact cement, epoxies, super glue, fabric dyes etc.
• Have a detailed knowledge of mechanical aspects of costume characters.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet hard deadlines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Theater, puppetry, or a related field (or 10+ years of equivalent experience).
• Experience in Costume foam patterning and fabrication techniques.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.

Costume Stitcher - Immediate openings for fulltime, part time and contracted positions in Tampa Florida.

Position:
Costume Stitcher

Overview:
The Costume stitcher is a key member of the costume studio focusing on the production, integration and finishing of costume components. The costume stitcher is expected to be a well-rounded generalist and will be expected to train in and assist in all aspects of the department with expertise in the use of both industrial and domestic.

Reporting Structure:
The employees and contractors of the Costume Studio will report directly to the Costume Studio Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
• Construct costume product using both industrial and domestic sewing machines to a high-quality standard.
• Basic pattern modifications, high accuracy in cutting of fabrics and materials.
• Achieve deadlines by working in both team and individual settings with supervisor’s guidance.
• Work with and around chemicals such as contact cement, epoxies, super glue, fabric dyes etc.
• Proper documentation of all aspects of the build process. Ensuring all steps of the process are photographed and catalogued.
• Adhere to company safety regulations, maintains a safe, healthy, and clean work /shop environment.
• Complete tasks at a consistent high quality within timelines set by supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet hard deadlines.

Costume Cutter Draper - Immediate openings for fulltime, part time and contracted positions in Tampa Florida.

Position:
Costume Cutter/Draper

Overview:
The Cutter/Draper organizes and executes the construction of costumes as required by the Costume Studio Manager and Costume Designer. This position will interpret original design work, create custom patterns, and builds based on the design.

The Cutter/Draper instructs the First Hands and Stitchers, as appropriate to the assigned project. The Cutter/Draper works with the Costume Studio Manager to meet construction and fitting deadlines. This position may assist in other costume production areas as directed by the needs of the production, including attending fittings, install and training for our clients.

Reporting Structure:
The employees and contractors of the Costume Studio will report directly to the Costume Shop Manager.

• Drape, pattern, and cut costume product to a high-quality standard.
• Detailed knowledge of fabrics and materials commonly used in the industry.
• Bundle and prepare tasks for the costume studio staff.
• Proper documentation of all aspects of the build process. Ensuring all steps of the process are photographed and catalogued.
• Achieve deadlines by working in both team and individual settings.
• Work with and around chemicals such as contact cement, epoxies, super glue, fabric dyes etc.
• Supervises, mentors, and provides direct training.
• Adhere to company safety regulations, maintains a safe, healthy, and clean work /shop environment.
• Complete tasks at a consistent high quality within timelines
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Costume Design, or a related field (or 10+ years of equivalent experience).
