WHO WE ARE

Meet our Full Stop Costume Studio Manager, Bernice Jauncey!

“After 20 years in the costume industry, from my early days as a dresser to my recent role as Costume and Fabrication Department Manager at a major costume house, I am thrilled to join Nancy and Chris in building Full Stop Costume Studio from the ground up.”

Bernice Jauncey blends her passion for costumes with her love for working with people to cultivate a collaborative atmosphere. This synergy ensures that stunning costumes harmonize with lighting, choreography, staging and performers, creating a powerful visual impact for the audience. Focused on bringing the client’s vision to life, Bernice also ensures costumes fit comfortably, allowing performers to fully commit their energy to their performance.

Her love for costumes came early, and after an internship with the English National Opera at 15 and a mentorship with Judy Tregidden of The Costume Society, Bernice pursued her passion at the London College of Fashion.

Bernice began her career as a dresser, and in the ensuing 20 years, she held various roles in touring productions and stationary shows, including stitcher and wardrobe manager. She spent four years working with various Las Vegas Nightclubs and shows where she integrated LED into costumes, developing skills in wiring and soldering, while also selecting fabrics for effects, wearability, durability and water-resistance. Most recently, Bernice served as costume and fabrication manager at Animax. With experience ranging from crafting delicate showgirl costumes to creating oversized character fabrication, Bernice has developed a deep understanding of fit, construction and durability.

Bernice fosters a culture of openness and respect within the Studio allowing every team member to feel comfortable and creatively passionate, leading to high client satisfaction.

"A beautiful, elaborate costume is only as good as the ease at which a performer can perform in it."
